No Limits is the ministry of Viv & Jean Penfold. Based in Stockport, Cheshire in the UK, they have three daughters and three grandchildren. Both Viv & Jean come from a background in education but have been in full time Christian ministry for about 25 years. They are part of the leadership team of Stockport Centre Church. Jean is the manager of a debt counselling centre run in conjunction with Christians Against Poverty, a UK charity. You can find further details on the church web site.

In the early years Viv’s ministry was mostly in evangelism and church planting. The first church plant was in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria where they pastored together for almost 10 years. During this time churches were planted out from there in Millom and Lancaster. Viv also served as the Director of Church Planting for Assemblies of God (AOG) North West Region for 10 years. He still works in that capacity in India with Missionary Ventures GB.

Throughout the whole of this time they were heavily involved in overseas missions, especially in India, Africa, Europe and North & Central America. In 1999 the Lord called them out of pastoral work and the ministry of No Limits was set up, based upon 2 Corinthians 10:16 where Paul stated his desire “to preach the gospel in the regions beyond”. This fulfilled the desire in Viv’s heart and was confirmed prophetically.

The major thrust of No Limits is now concentrated in India, specifically the state of Andhra Pradesh. Viv worked with D. B. Abraham for almost 20 years and in that time they saw over 700 churches planted. Together with Missionary Ventures GB, the New Life Bible College was established in Hyderabad and over 100 pastors and church planters were trained. There are now two Ministry Training Centres (Visak and Tirupathi) preparing young people for church planting and evangelism — especially amongst unreached tribal groups such as the Konda Dora and Yanadi. So far 85 churches have been planted by graduates of these Ministry Training Centres.

Ministry has also been regularly undertaken in Africa, Eastern Europe, Mexico, Canada and the USA.

The scope of No Limits has expanded recently and considerable time is now given to helping local churches to “re-purpose” - to become mission-shaped churches that will penetrate their communities with the Gospel as the body of Christ is properly discipled, equipped and mobilised. The health of the local church is essential to accomplish this.
